Film Projections
The Audiovisual Department of the Bpi organises film projections in the Pompidou Centre in order to highlight and enrich the Library's permanent collection and the national Catalogue of documentary films for libraries.
Through the choice of films shown, the public has the possibility to discover French and foreign films, and at the same time the Library's collection is enriched with modern works as well as with classics from the past.
In this way the Library seeks to inform and educate the public by enabling it to discover films which have not been widely shown in cinemas or on television. Because of the diversity of the forms of creation that they present, documentary films and animated movies are particularly relevant in the development of a critical view of images.
