Video on Demand
Video on Demand (VoD) services make it possible to enlarge the range of fiction films that can be watched in the Library, and to complement the Bpi's collection with documentary films and programmes on current issues which are not suitable to be added to the permanent collection.
The VoD area
The VoD area, with five work-stations available after reservation, is located on Level 3 of the Library. in front of the Art information counter. Eight films can be downloaded every 24 hours, which can be watched during 48 hours on the five screens.
ArteVod
Since 2008, the Bpi has arranged that its users can watch, free of charge, around 500 films (full-length fiction films, documentary programmes and magazines, in addition to the permanent collection) that are available on the ArteVod website. The choice is limited to films for which Arte has acquired the rights (institutional non-commercial rights), and will be renewed each year. Consult the Bpi's ArteVod catalogue.
