380,000 documents in all formats are at your disposal, containing information, training materials, culture and entertainment. They are constantly being renewed.

  • All these documents are to be consulted on the spot; it is not possible to borrow any of them.
  • You can access all these documents yourself (except for some documents in the Self-Learning area).
  • There is only one copy of each printed document (book, newspaper, magazine), audio cassette, compact disk and DVD.
  • Electronic materials (multimedia CDs, databases, digital magazines) are available simultaneously at several work-stations.

The Bpi's collections

The Bpi's Collections are aimed at a wide public and include works that are "easy to read", that popularise a subject or explain it for beginners, as well as works that are more specialised or of university level. Whatever the subject matter or the level, the Bpi seeks to provide high quality content and is particularly careful to exclude illegal content.

To learn more about the Collections and the Library's documentation policy, consult the Charter on Documentation Policy (in French).

To see if a specific document can be found at the Bpi, look for it in the BPI catalogue (in French), using the Document Search tool.
