Between current media events and university research, the debates, seminars, meetings organised by the Bpi shed light on modern society and culture.
The series of debates are so many meetings in a year or over a period of years, in order to follow the evolution of modern thought and creation.

The Bpi organises study days or seminars to accompany the major exhibitions of the Pompidou Centre:
Current issues are covered during the year, linked to what is happening in the cultural field in general or to the programme of the Pompidou Centre.
The spoken word promotes the contact with living thought, with its strong points and its questions which come from the encounter with the public or the confrontation with an equal.
This is why there is a mix of expertise and points of view at each event in order to inform and open the discussion: from writers, academics, doctors, designers, story-tellers, members of associations, activists, artists, journalists, all ready to dialogue and exchange. The audience intervenes at will, with respect for different opinions and the time available.
These programmes provide the Bpi with opportunities to develop partnerships with many bodies, including:
