Entering the Bpi

The Library is open to everybody free of charge and without any formalities. The books and other materials are available only for consultation on the spot; nothing is loaned out.

Entrance of the Library

The Bpi is located inside the Pompidou Centre.

The entrance to the Library is on rue Beaubourg / rue du Renard, on the other side of the building from the main entrance of the Pompidou Centre. Follow the signs.

Priority access is given to:

  • Persons over 60 years of age
    On presentation of an identity card that indicates your age
    Entrance: use the Bpi exit, on the mezzanine 
  • Pregnant women
    Entrance: use the Bpi exit, on the mezzanine
  • Disabled persons
    On presentation of a disability card issued by COTOREP (before 2005) or by MDPH (after 2005)
    Entrance: use the Staff entrance ("Entrée du personnel"), at the corner of rue du Renard and rue Saint-Merri
