There are 64 work-stations spread over the three floors of the Library.
They can be used by anyone except unaccompanied minors.

  • Reserving a work-station is done on the spot on the day when it is needed.
  • You must obtain a ticket to reserve a work-station from the General Information counter, in the entry-hall of the Library (on Level 1). The place where you queue for a ticket is marked on the floor.
  • A session lasts 40 minutes.

The Internet Charter specifies the conditions of use.

You may use your own laptop in the Library.

You can recharge its battery because most of the lamps on the reading-tables are equipped with power sockets.

You cannot connect to the Library's information system for security reasons but you can connect to Internet using the Wi-Fi network, on the following conditions:

  • Wi-Fi sign

Users of the Pompidou Centre and of the Bpi have the possibility of connecting to Internet for 1 1/2 hours a day free of charge, through a partnership with the Ozone Company. This time may be spread over different periods in the day.

In the pages concerning Wi-Fi at the Bpi, you will find details of the connection procedures and solutions to possible connection problems.

A new network has been installed that uses a frequency that is less subject to interference (802.11a in 5 GHZ). This network can be used by connecting to the Wi-Fi network "Centre Pompidou acces 2". You are advised to use this network if your computer is configured to allow you to connect to resources that use the 802.11a norm.
