The Self-Learning Department of the Bpi has been involved since its creation in co-operation activities with other self-learning actors.

Help in creating a self-learning service

The Bpi is totally committed to sharing its experience and offering its expertise to librarians who are planning to create a self-learning service.

It responds to any e-mail question on this issue received from fellow-librarians, it organises visits to its own Self-Learning Area and it also participates in training days organised by ENSSIB and CNFPT.

Finally, it assists the establishment of specialised collections drawn from the catalogues of suppliers and publishers.

Organisation of demonstration days

Throughout the year, in collaboration with the network of Personalised Learning Workshops (APP - ateliers de pédagogie personnalisée), the Centre Inffo, the Science and Industry Library (BSI - Bibliothèque des sciences et de l'industrie) and ENESAD-EDUTER, the Bpi organises days when self-learning tools are demonstrated. At these sessions it is possible to meet publishers, to discover new products and to obtain answers to your questions. Take a look at the annual programme (PDF file); enrolling for one of these days is free of charge.
A summary of the days organised since 2003 is also available on-line on the Chlorofil site.

Preferential rates for e-learning products

The Bpi negotiates with numerous publishers of e-learning products, in order to obtain preferential rates for libraries and for Carel.

The latest available self-learning products are SmartCanal, Balingua, Lesocial.fr and Maxicours.
