Profession: Librarian
You are a foreigner, working as a librarian or studying library science, and you want to know how libraries are managed in France, to exchange experience with your French colleagues in a specific area of library work, or you simply want to know more about the library system in France. The Bpi can certainly propose a training course or a programme that meets your needs.
The "Profession Culture" Programme was initiated by the Ministry of Culture & Communication in 2003 and is based on a partnership with the public establishments that it supervises. It is designed for foreign professionals in charge of a department or project in the establishment where they work.
The Programme seeks to promote the development of co-operation projects and the creation of lasting exchange networks between the public establishments depending on the Ministry of Culture and Communication and their foreign partners, as well as between public libraries in France and their foreign colleagues.
In consultation with the establishment that will receive them in France, the candidates must therefore present a solid project based on an exchange of knowledge and know-how.
