Moving to Paris

Do you need to learn or improve your French? The Life skills area, on Level 1 of the Library, offers you useful guides, revues ? and brochures to guide you and help you to undertake all the tasks of everyday life: writing a letter to the Government, looking for housing, consulting a doctor in your district, finding out about cultural activities and leisure…
Don’t forget to regularly consult the Agenda on events organised by the Bpi. Workshops on “Moving to Paris” are for you!

Learn French

Do you need to learn or improve your French? The Self-Study area has available for you a vast number of resources (language learning methods, films, documentaries, broadcasts) adapted for every level. Do not hesitate to ask the librarians at the reception desk for information, for answers to your questions and for help in finding what you need. 
Follow world events and improve your understanding of French! Near the Self-study area, the Televisions of the world enable you to watch free of charge eleven channels, including two French channels (Euronews and LCI). 
Practise your knowledge by participating in conversation workshops in French as a foreign language (FLE), every Friday at 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm.

Discover the Bpi

Don’t know the Bpi? Discover its history, lits missions and the way it is organised of this one-of-a-kind institution. To get to know it better, come in on Fridays at 6 pm for a discovery tour for 30 minutes, ideal for discovering the thematic areas, services and collections available to you.

Meet a mediator from France Terre d’Asile

Every Thursday and Friday from 2 pm to 5 pm, a mediator from the association France Terre d'asile is on duty on Level 1 of the Bpi to meet, listen and inform migrants on many subjects: the right to asylum in France, housing, the protection of foreign unaccompanied minors, specialised reception facilities and the resources of the Bpi... Don’t hesitate to come and meet him!
