Programming, which is encyclopaedic in nature, is organised around five missions that form part of the Cultural Action Charter (LINK) and the institutional plan:
  • Literary and artistic creation
  • Documentary films, including the Festival “Cinéma du réel"
  • News and current events
  • New global equilibria and issues in contemporary society
  • Artistic and cultural education for new audiences and the younger generations.

Debates, meetings, symposia, masterclasses, workshops

Many meetings, debates, conferences and symposia are held to provide insight into major contemporary issues (ecology, gender and sexuality, digital cultures, etc.).

Temporary exhibitions

Literary creation, graphic arts and cutting-edge publications are the three main themes of exhibitions designed by the Bpi.

The Bpi organises screenings around documentaries and animated films designed to enhance and enrich the permanent collection of films and the National Catalogue of Documentary Films for libraries.

Performances and readings

Special meetings are organised to put the public in direct contact with the world of art, music and literature.
