Cultural events accessible all year round
Throughout the year, the Bpi organizes a wide range of cultural events, educational activities, festivals, meetings, and exhibitions showcasing its collections. Constant efforts are made to ensure that these activities are accessible and adapted to people with disabilities.

The Bpi offers a wide range of cultural events related to today’s global issues: temporary exhibitions, documentary films, debates, meetings, seminars, performances, and readings. Several festivals are also held each year: Press Start, dedicated to video games in all their forms; Effractions, a contemporary literature festival; and Cinéma du réel, dedicated to documentary films.
The Bpi teams strive to offer cultural activities that are accessible to everyone.
Some examples:
For visually impaired audiences:
- Films with audio description will be screened during the Cinéma du réel festival, and podcasts and audio recordings of certain events will be available on the Bpi Replay service.
For audiences with hearing impairments:
- Meetings translated into French Sign Language (LSF) or subtitled, then available on the Replay or the Bpi YouTube page.
- Film screenings with subtitles for deaf or hard-of-hearing people as part of the documentary film series Les yeux doc à midi.
- Activities are also organized as part of World Deaf Day.
