Jobs and internships
A public administrative institution, the Bpi is a national library under the administrative authority of the Ministry of Culture (Directorate-General of Media and Cultural Industries). It mainly employs civil servants, but also contract workers as well as temporary staff, mainly to help with welcoming the public and return works to their place.
The Library employs 250 people on permanent contracts and 90 people on temporary contracts, and also welcomes interns throughout the year.
The Bpi regularly recruits civil servants from the French civil service and contract workers for permanent positions.
In addition to permanent staff, the Bpi also uses temporary positions to back up the teams responsible for welcoming the public and returning material to its place.
Students as part of their school or university studies and library professionals as part of continuing education can do an internship at the Bpi.
