Periodical checklisting agents

Periodical checklisting agents are employed on a part-time basis for a period of nine months and report to the Periodicals Department.

The candidate will be responsible for recording receipt and equipping printed periodicals for distribution to the public.

Employment conditions

Remuneration at the hourly minimum wage (€11.65 as of January 1, 2024), excluding paid vacation allowance and end-of-contract allowance.

Schedule

Availability for 9 months, 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Required qualities

  • Knowledge of the organization and operation of the library
  • Knowledge of the periodicals processing system
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules related to the activity
  • Office tools related to the activity
  • Apply health and safety rules (including when carrying loads)
  • Basic techniques for cataloging periodicals in a library
  • Rigorous and methodical approach
  • Organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills (library staff and service providers)
  • Team player
  • Diligence and punctuality
