Supervisory positions are part-time jobs under the responsibility of the Reception Coordination department.

Reporting to the head of the reception coordination department, the document and equipment storage supervisor is responsible for supervising the storage activities carried out by the storage agents. They perform storage tasks themselves, as well as any other duties that contribute to keeping the Bpi open to the public and maintaining its activities in accordance with the health and safety rules defined by the public authorities.
Main activities
- Coordinate the work of the shelving staff between the different levels/sections of the library.
- Communicate and report on the progress of the work carried out.
- Ensure that documents consulted by users are recorded.
- Organize documents according to classification.
- Replace the various seats in the library.
- Reclassify and rearrange the shelves according to classification.
- Provide a first-level welcome to users and direct them to the various information desks.
- Set up documentation in the spaces.
Secondary activities
- Participation in the relocation and transfer of collections, compatible with other assigned tasks.
- Welcoming, informing, and guiding participants in the Bpi’s professional days.
- Welcoming, informing, and mediating with participants in cultural events organized by the Bpi.
- Participation in sorting lost and found items.
- Ensuring that users comply with the rules in the Bpi’s spaces.
- Welcoming, guiding, and informing Bpi users.
- Providing bibliographic information, making documents available for indirect access, and allocating computer stations upon reservation.
- Registering users for workshops and mediation sessions, accompanying them to the mediation venues within the Bpi.
Required profile

Schedule
- Part-time position, 60 hours per month with the possibility of overtime.
- Variable scheduling throughout the week: work 2 out of every 4 weekends and public holidays.
Contract duration
9 months with the possibility of renewal depending on the needs of the department.
Required qualities
- Entry level: knowledge of library classification systems (studies or a degree and professional experience, even temporary, in the library or documentation sector are appreciated but not required),
- Entry level: knowledge of the Bpi (spaces, collections, classification and document search tools, etc.) or the functioning of other libraries.

Remuneration
€12,82 plus paid vacation allowance
Surcharge for working on Sundays and public holidays: €16.67 plus paid vacation allowance
