The free ticket system for accessing the library will resume when it reopens on Monday, August 25, on weekdays before 8 p.m. These tickets are implemented to regulate waiting times in front of the library.

In response to your feedback and for environmental reasons, you can now choose between two options to obtain an access ticket:

  • you can download the Bpi Lumière app to generate a QR code that will serve as your entry ticket
  • you can get a paper ticket if you don’t want to or can’t download the app.

How does it work?

To access the Bpi, use the entrance to the Lumière building located at street level. Green terminals are installed in the queue. They allow you to collect a free printed ticket. You can also generate a QR code on your Bpi Lumière app. The paper ticket and QR code are valid for 20 minutes, giving you time to reach the library entrance on the second floor.

Then take the escalator to the library on the second floor. At the Bpi entrance, just before the security check, you will need to validate your printed ticket or QR code at a terminal.

Priority entry without a ticket

Upon presentation of valid proof to security staff, people over the age of 65, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and their accompanying persons are granted priority access. No QR code or access ticket is required. Priority entry is also located at street level with the option to skip the line.
