Where can I study while the Bpi is closed?

Find a list of libraries accessible during the temporary closure of the Bpi and before its reopening at the Lumière on Monday August 25, 2025.

The Bpi will close for a few months in 2025 to prepare for its temporary relocation to the Lumière, but you’ll still be able to work and consult the books you need in our neighboring libraries.

We invite you to check access conditions and opening hours before you visit, and if you’d like to discover other libraries, download the Affluences app!

University libraries

During the closure of the Bpi (March 3 to August 24, 2025), these university libraries are exceptionally accessible to students from public higher education establishments in the Paris region, on presentation of their student card.

Before visiting any of these libraries, please check the conditions of access and opening (university vacations, reduced opening hours, exceptional closures due to building work, etc.) on the library website or, for those that have them, on Affluences.

Consult the specific opening times for each library in this pdf document. (in French only)
